words of encouragement

Encouragement can make us achieve the impossible. Many times in our prayers we talk to God to give us courage to face a situation. A silent blessing is received instantly and it helps us build our confidence and face the challenges of the day. Setbacks may happen owing to our miscalculations or due to sudden impact but life is easy when we have a friend who is encouraging. Encouragement also helps us improve our self esteem which is damaged when we face failure.

Certain happenings in life can be avoided with care and planning. But life springs surprises on us which again are actually the truth. Encouraging your child to take up a hobby class or a friend to cook a different cuisine is common in life. With encouragement and kind words we need to appreciate people around us. Comforting words give an essence of empathy but encouragement drives a person to ignite the fire that can become a passion.

To be beautiful in life it is important to upscale our minds with positive thinking. This is essential along with a hard working habit so that our minds can come with brighter ideas that help us achieve our goals. Spread a smile around or cheer someone who is grieving. There is much in life to look forward and to keep on moving it is important to keep encouraging your own self. Ask your child ‘to smile’ after improving in a game of chess. Let not defeat undermine their spirit.

Words of encouragement like, ‘You can do this.’ ‘I marvel at your skill.’ ‘We can make this happen.’ is very positive and will surely initiate reaction. Thinking with a free mind, one can use words of encouragement to help the team achieve the corporate targets which is the true skill of a team leader. Encouraging words are filled with appreciation. ‘Good’ is not something that was left behind at school but when we hear appreciation from our friends and family life takes an upswing.

Encouragement during a condolence meet is really difficult. The feeling must come from the heart. Holding your friends hand and expressing in simple words, “I am there” is more than enough for him to know that he is not alone. Children love encouraging words. Appreciate the color they chose and encourage them to draw a more beautiful cloud next time. On a serious note, the next opportunity for a person to excel is more about trying hard. ‘Try hard next time’ said to a student will surely encourage her to put in extra efforts and do a better preparation.

Encouraging a toddler who just had a fall, we can say, ‘That fall will make you taller.’ Help them climb a ladder or go up the swing. Put their fears down with encouraging words and a compassionate smile. Help the ill recover with encouraging words, ‘Get well soon, we miss you.’ These kind expressions are the magic words that help us recover and equip ourselves to handle a situation.
