• Parents and families find it impossible to understand and often feel terribly guilty. They need as much help and understanding as possible.

• No one knows what causes a cot death.
•  ways of LESSENING the risk of cot death:
  • Put your baby on their back to sleep.
  • Use a firm clean mattress that fits the cot.
  • Don't let your baby get too hot.
  • Don't use a pillow for your baby.
  • Keep your baby in a smoke free place.
• REMEMBER 999 OUT OF 1000 BABIES WILL NOT DIE OF SIDS.
