Teenagers Using The Telephone

• Telephones are very important to teenagers.
• They use them to relax, chat about the day's happenings, who's wearing what and going where. It's often the only way friendships are maintained.
• As parents pay the bills, they have rights. Try marking all the teenager's calls on the phone bill, adding them up and showing it to your teenager. Perhaps they could donate some pocket money towards the cost.
• If there are STD calls, make sure your child rings at offpeak times and agree beforehand on the call's time limit.
• Suggest they take turns ringing each other.
