Handpainted furniture is a hot topic thats being covered by most home decor magazines.  Going back in time, we find that Egyptian artisans decorated everything ... from a table to pottery with brilliant motif designs in order to pass on the ancient tale on to the next generation.  Over time, these items practically have become heirlooms.

The influence of hand painted furniture has indeed spanned boundaries.  They have been found to be present in countries such as the Middle East, Europe and South America. It is indeed natural to find a variety of these ethnic inspired designs from Eastern Europe with soft delicate flowery prints to those with clean, simple lines having an Asian touch.

However, careful selection of handpainted furniture is necessary for it to blend or contrast with other items of decor.
