Stress can be analyzed in two different ways. It can be a helpful stress called as eustress or it can be an unhelpful stress, which is termed as distress. At times, the pressure offered by the environment of a person can escalate to a level where it is difficult for him to cope with. This particular feeling is referred as the mean stress or distress. Men usually do not have a good ability to recognize the stress in their environment and themselves. Another important factor effecting is that the ability to fight with stress is different in different people and is usually affected by the individual’s experience. A person may find something stressful, which may not be stressful for another one. The stress fighting abilities vary with the age and stage of life.
The stress symptoms in men usually include fatigue, chest pain, pounding heart, breath shortness, headaches, dizziness, high blood pressure, indigestion, stomach cramps, skin problems and weight loss or gain. All these can be categorized as the physical symptoms of stress in men. The psychological symptoms are rather more prominent in case of stress and include sadness, depression, withdrawal, crying, insomnia, worry, restlessness, insecurity feeling, job dissatisfaction and relationship changes. They may even increase the intakes of drugs and alcohol or increase the level of smoking. These symptoms can alleviate if not treated in due time.
Anxiety is often associated with stress and is usually the first symptom of it. The anxiety stress symptoms in men are very common and include chest pain, palpitation, headache, indigestion, heartburn, constipation, diarrhea, stomach cramps and muscle cramps or spasms may follow. The symptoms can be scaled up to chronic ones and include rheumatoid arthritis, baldness, increased sweating, neck pain, back pain, impotence, asthma attacks and frequent cold and flu.
The chronic stress symptoms are usually for longer durations and long term. These are usually associated with a variety of stress related diseases. People respond to these symptoms in their own ways and sometimes may even be able to cope up with them and get them reduced to the acceptable level. The long-term symptoms can even lead to cancer, migraine, chronic asthmas, bronchitis and heart attack.
The stress exhaustion is usually associated with the adrenalin secretion in the body. It is usually the combination of emotional and physical exhaustion, which can be commonly caused by the long-term exposure to high stress levels. It affects the immune system of the body and can reduce the body’s immunity to various ailments, which includes a list of even chronic diseases. The stress exhaustion symptoms are usually the result of anxiety and stress. Excessive worries about some part of your life can lead you to these kinds of symptoms and can take you towards the path of stress illness symptoms. All these conditions can be cured with proper care and guidance. However, the stress needs to be controlled before the symptoms turn into chronic ones. Believing in oneself and taking rest are the major factors, which contribute towards relieving the symptoms of stress.
