Plywood

When it comes to manufacturing board material, plywood seems to lead. Plywood is produced by sticking three or more layers of wafer thin veneers. Veneers are nothing but sliced wood from hardwood or softwood. Although technically plywood seems to have been born in the 1850’s, it manufactures dates back to the age of the Egyptian pharaohs. The wooden articles of this age are made out of layers of veneers stuck together.

One of the main reasons why plywood is so popular globally is because of its durable nature and light weightiness. Apart from these features, there are many other features that make plywood the best buy above the rest. Plywood is used for building boats, furniture, trucks, airplanes, etc…

As the trade of plywood is increasing globally, so is the number of manufacturers. But not all manufacturers are into the same line of business process. Some plywood manufacturers are wholly into lumbering and manufacturing, while some other plywood manufacturers are into purchasing of raw wood, manufacturing them into plywood and selling them in the open market.

Plywood manufacturers who do their business on a large scale deal in all grades of plywood. They even have their own set of designers who design and create new types of plywood. Buyers who purchase plywood do not look at the brand name but its quality i.e. the grade of the plywood.

The Indian Plywood Association has set down certain rules for plywood manufacturers when it comes to sales. The Indian Plywood Association has laid a compulsory rule that every plywood that is sold to the customer should be stamped so as to ensure customer satisfaction. The Indian Plywood Association not only protects the interests and rights of the customers and clients but also the plywood manufacturers.
