aircraft salvage

The Wright brothers first invented the aircraft. As of today, there are hundreds of airline companies operating in this world.

But as everyone has its share of life and death, the same way even aircrafts have a stipulated number of years for which they fly. After a specific number of years, those aircrafts are considered to be useless and scrapped. There are also aircrafts that end up in a crash and accidents that are scrapped.
Superior and elite airline companies salvage their aircrafts much before their inferior counterparts. That is because those superior airline companies look out for better and newer options when it comes to aircrafts. They keep on upgrading their aircrafts from time to time.
On the other hand there are army aircrafts. These army aircrafts are not scrapped and put to death once they are old. Instead, underdeveloped countries purchase these used aircrafts for their army fleet. In short, once army aircrafts are old they change hands unlike commercial aircrafts that are scrapped and lie at salvage yards.
The spare parts of commercial aircrafts are sold at quite a good price as they are of superior quality. Take for instance; the propellers (fans) are the most expensive item on the list of aircraft salvage.  The seats of these aircrafts are also used ate the waiting lounge of domestic airports.

In India, the provisions of Part XIII of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 relating to Wreck and Salvage shall apply to aircraft on or over the sea or tidal waters as they apply to ships, and the owner of an aircraft shall be entitled to a reasonable reward for salvage services rendered by the aircraft in like manner as the owner of a ship.
