The combination is the acronym used for Diptheria, Pertussis and Tetanus. The upper respiratory tract is affected with the infection of diphtheria which can cause a lot of problem for children. There are preferred doses in proper schedule as mentioned in the medical chart. There is also the vaccine against
Pertussis included in the same. Whooping cough can be dangerous and
highly infectious. Tetanus as discussed earlier needs to be completed
with booster doses. The pediatrician will prescribe a topical cream for swelling and also give some specified medication for fever. There is no reason to worry and it just last for 2 days. But other side effects need to be reported like jerks, seizures or twitching of muscles. Usually children also do not well which becomes a major cause of concern to the caregiver but the immunization is very much essential.
