MMR vaccine

Measles, Mumps and Rubella greatly affect children. Caused by a virus, the protection is available by vaccination. The stabilizer gelatin may cause allergies in some people but the pediatrician can tell you the exact details.

Rubella can cause heart problems or serious mental issues and hence it is vital to protect our children against the same. It is given after 15 months. An earlier shot of measles vaccine is given during 9 months of the child age. The Rubella vaccine is also advised from 10 to 12 years. The side effects are mild fever or rash in some cases.

Measles cannot be treated in any medical way. The red measles too takes its bout with cold or fever and a red rash that can be itchy too.

Mumps is a painful virus attack that swells up the salivary glands. It causes soreness and fever and ignoring the same can lead to deafness. Following the immunization chart is recommended so that you know that your child is well protected from the diseases. Since these 3 specific diseases do not have a cure medically, it is best to assure safety with vaccination. The side effects are not at all dangerous and the doctor will give you tips on how to soothe the baby’s discomfort.
