Rotavirus is a vaccine especially for children in their infancy to protect them from diarrhea. The rotavirus attack is usually around 3 months to 24 months. Hence it is best to protect the child and give the best protection from diarrhea. The plan for this vaccination is done in most of the Asian and African continents. Dehydration is the outcome of severe diarrhea and children are not able to absorb salt owing to the virus. Hence an intravenous fluid will be necessary. It is also spread easily through
food or stools of the infected child or person. It can generally weaken
the system and also allow a chance for other disease to begin. Hence the
pediatricians always now recommend the rotavirus vaccine. General side effects are in the form of fever, mild stomach upset or crankiness. Children on breast milk are easy to be soothed. Kids about 32 months are not advised the Rota vaccine. Disclaimer: The author’s articles are provided for general information.
