Small pox is a very dangerous disease. Though mentioned as small pox it is quite detrimental to life. There are two main types of small pox. One that has fever with a rash or bumps. But there are other cases where one does not see any physical changes but there is high fever associated with the same. It is variola virus that causes the infection. Many cases are seen with bleeding, lesions and there is a fluid that also travels to the mouth as the discharge of toxics can be fatal. There is a significant need to have the people vaccinated. Though the vaccine is available the
main concept is the mild form of the virus that is injected and hence it
is required to follow some rules especially for people planning for a
baby or those with skin disorders. The eradication of small pox is also a milestone and effective work by health teams and developing countries. With measures and active participation the small pox is now eradicated and there are no reported cases in the world. Disclaimer: The author’s articles are provided for general information.
