What you need to ask before vaccination

It is your right to know about the immunization. Usually each country has a stipulated set of immunization that is advised by the state.

It is always good to keep a record of the same. However busy you are it is important that the child gets proper inoculation to have the goodness of health.

Ten questions you can ask before the shots:

1.What is the exact combination?
2.Is there any fever after the shot?
3.Any change in eating pattern to be observed?
4.Are there specific shots for people going abroad? Flu shots?
5.What can I do if I won’t be in town during the scheduled flu shot mentioned in my chart?
6.What is the cost of vaccination?
7.Is there any other combination that will cause less inconvenience to the child?
8.What to do about the reaction or swelling after the injection?
9.Any specific care for children with disability or any critical illness?
10.Booster dose? Why?

These questions help you understand what the side effects are. It is better to know the cost so that you go prepared to the clinic and not waste your day. It is good to communicate the essentials to the care giver so that the child is taken good care of.
