Why vaccination is important

In all countries, it is very much important to go by the guidance of an able pediatrician and protect the child against susceptible illnesses. Despite the best care and medical aid possible in every country, children are very prone to contract diseases.

As their immunity is still developing, it is important to take care of the immunization chart and talk to the doctor about your concerns. Immunity is developed by the child over a number of years, but certain diseases like polio or measles can affect a child during their keen years from 1 to 5. There are several ways the Government is trying to educate people to protect infants and children.

An immunization chart is provided during the birth itself. In public health care centers, some medicines are provided free of charge. Mothers and care givers must give the vaccination a lot of importance. Usually children are not immunized if they already have flu or some illness.

There are no side effects at all and a bit of low grade temperature is the only reaction observed especially in case of DPT. Booster dozes reinforce the medication strongly in the body and hence are to be administered from reputed centers.
