wedding reception music

So you have taken care of your wedding dress, the
caterers, the decorators, the wedding location. Now you turn to the
wedding reception music. If you have thought of some songs you want to
hear at the wedding reception then put it down. But what about the rest
of the songs that have to be played right through the evening? On the outset before choosing the wedding reception music you have to understand the type of guests you are expecting. What kind of music they like listening? Being in India you can expect some part of the crowd to like more Indian music, then the fast numbers. Also you have to know what the groom prefers. If there is a conflict then you have to settle it out and finalize the list of songs for the wedding reception music. Your options begin by choosing live music i.e. a band or a DJ. You also have to consider your budget as which one you can afford? Booking of the DJ or band should be done simultaneously while booking the venue. As you have to check with the rules of the venue if live music is allowed or what are the restrictions. Booking of popular bands or DJs should be contemplated at least more than a year in advance as they are overbooked. Especially on Saturdays and Sundays. Can you give me some references, can you play some songs for me, can you give me a sample CD. Can I have a look at the music list???? Are a few questions you need to ask the prospective musician. If you are small budgeted then a DJ should be a better option. He too can bring life into the wedding reception music. Infact you have more options with him. So check your options and opt for the best as you are out planning for the most joyful day of your life. ~ author Karishma Bajaj.
