WML is what HTML is to a web-browser. WMl is based on XML and is a XML application. WML is read by a browser built into the WAP device. In WAP devices the browser is commonly known as a micro browser.

WMLScript

WMLScript is the client side script-language based on ECMAScript. It seems very much like Java Script and in general way it is meant for the same kind of application that actually runs simple code on the client side rather than just render displays. WMLScript has been improved upon to fit the limitations of the WAP environment.
