sample thank you notes

Thank you notes go a long way to say the unspoken word. A small note written by you in person makes the person feel valuable and its talks aloud about the character of the sender.

Thank you notes can be on simple stationery barring a wedding thank you note wherein you have to use formal stationery.

Begin your thank you note by saying thank you, name the gift and if you can tell the person how best you will use the gift. Be brief and to the point, people do not have time for lengthy letters.

Following are a few sample thank you notes.
Sample 1

Dear Aunt Rajashree,
Thank you so much for the woollen sweater. I loved the colour. Infact I was planning to buy one of the same type. You have given me the right gift.
It has been a long time since the entire family has met. Mummy always refers to you when we are together. It would be really nice if you could come home with Uncle Skehar and Raj.
Love always
Shalini
PS (do my regards to Shekhar and Raj)

Sample 2
Dear Sunita
Thank you, for allowing me to keep my daughter at your place for the past few days. Due to my tight schedule and errands I am unable to be with Sania.
It is really kind of you to do this favour on me. You have always been somebody I can depend upon. Thank you Sunita you have been really kind of you.
God bless you

Regards,
Madhuri

Thank you notes have to be written immediately after the event else it will lose its essence. Also you need to give it the personal touch as far as possible. Giving it a personal touch indicates that you have to word it carefully. But this should not render it into a task as acquiring the right words can make writing a thank you note intimidating.

As Indians are known to be warm at heart you can be sure of your warm perspective and write something rather than search for the perfect words and never write it. ~ author Karishma Bajaj
