Abdominal pain is pain that you feel in the abdominal area (the area between your chest and groin), often referred to as the stomach region or belly. Even when you feel pain there, however,  Abdomen pain may originate from somewhere else — like your chest, pelvic region (the area just below the abdomen that houses the reproductive organs), or a generalized infection affecting many parts of your body (like the flu or strep throat). Causes of pain of lower right abdomen are frequently appendicitis; pain of upper abdomen may be caused by stomach or duodenum diseases;  pain at the rim of lower abdomen and lower back may be caused by kidney stones or ureter stones, pain of right rid may be caused by liver and gallbladder diseases; pain of left rid may be caused by spleen disease; Cramp at the rim of lower abdomen and inguen of women are usually caused by pre-menstruation symptoms. Abdominal pain in children can be the result of worms or general indigestion. Kids tend to gobble their food without chewing as a result there is pressure in the stomach and intestines. Gas accumulates in infants after consuming milk causing a colic syndrome.

For infants the best cure would be to help them burp or pat their back to ease their pain. Asafetida or hing is also applied in their tummy area. For older kids and adults the best cure is in ajwain or cumin/jeera boiled in thick decoction.

Constipation also results in bloating and heavy discomfort. Use a generous spoon of ghee in hot milk and consume the same. For chronic constipation triphala works. Isabgol is laden with fiber and can be dissolved in water or milk at night time. Also having a banana during the day helps vacate the colon. Colon problems can get severe and also amoebeasis is a silent cause for abdominal cramps. De worming is the best method and many herbal products help cleanse the digestive organs.

The easiest way to avoid abdominal cramps or ease the colon is to consume lots of water. Fiber rich food also helps during menstrual times, where cramping is a usual occurrence. This leads to pain that is almost unbearable and crushed ginger, ajwain concoction in water or powdered cumin seeds seem to provide some relief.
There are wonderful remedies in yogasanas starting with kapalbhati pranayam that is totally based on the stomach breathing. Safe correction of abdominal problems is better that popping pills which is habit forming. Colitis is an acute problem when the colon is irritated and can lead to IBS or irritable bowel syndrome.

Walks or light exercises offer a cure to many health problems. Sedentary lifestyle or an inactive attitude can increase the vaath or air in the body to cause gas which again leads to indigestion. Kidney stones require treatment for atleast three months.

Serious abdominal problems like an appendicitis are caused when there is a inflammation and infection of the appendix. The pain is agonizing and it is recommended to rush to the doctor or hospital. Removal of appendix is safe and the scar heals in three weeks time. Gynecological problems like polycystic ovary, ovulation or painful periods need to be monitored by a good gynecologist. Abdominal discomfort during pregnancy is common but if the pain is high it is suggested to see the doctor immediately.

Homemade remedy : Colic Pain / Stomach Pain/ : Take a ½ gram of Asafetida (Hing Powder – Indian Spice) &  mix it with little water make a paste of it and fill up your Belly button (umbilicus), lie down for 15-30 minutes and you will release some gas for few times, after that you will be fine.
